Nelliyampathy This fascinating hill station is at a height of 467 to 1572 m above sea level. Nelliyampathy is a hill station within the Nelliyampathy Forest Reserve, in the southwest Indian state of Kerala. The road to it, which goes through the dense forests of the Western Ghats, is known for its many hairpin turns. This hill country is the delight of trekkers.
Nelliyampathy Hills are known for their enchanting beauty. Clad with clouds, this hill range requires the visitors to drive through scenic patches of coffee, cardamom and tea plantations. Seethakundu at Nelliyampathy offers a panoramic view of about one third of Palakkad.
Nelliyampatty is blessed with immense flora and fauna. The adjourning forests regions have wild elephants, giant squirrels, sambars and leopards. One can find bisons, deers, peacocks, goats and cows commonly in plantation and farm areas. Much of the area is under plantations and farms.
